My partner and I decided to have a wedding with 4 months' notice, and we didn't want to break the bank. My co-worker told me about this shop, and I was able to book an appointment immediately. I was allowed to bring 3 guests to shop with me, and there was plenty to choose from. I ended up finding the perfect dress ($1300 retail value) for $200!!! And I also bought a second dress, for the reception, for $100. I was blown away by how inexpensive everything was, how high quality the dresses were, and just the large amount of dresses to choose from.

I'm taking 1 star off because we only had 1 hour, which sounds like a long time, but isn't when you're shopping for wedding dresses for the first time. The dresses are very difficult to get into/get out of/walk in, and each dress took a good 10 minutes (at least) from start to finish. Plus, my friends were taking pictures, helping me get the zipper up, and giving me their opinions, which takes time. It was also pretty busy while I was there, and the staff were hard to get the attention of.

I recently purchased my wedding dress from Brides for a Cause, and overall, I had a great experience. I found a dress I absolutely love—it was almost identical to my inspiration photo! Even better, it was an unworn, unaltered sample and very affordable, which made the whole experience feel like an incredible win.

The selection of dresses was overwhelming in the best way possible. There were so many beautiful options that it was hard to narrow down my favorites. The staff was also fantastic—friendly, helpful, and genuinely invested in my experience. They offered helpful insights and tips while I tried on dresses and even brought me options similar to the styles I had picked.

However, there were a few downsides. The try-on appointments are only an hour, which felt too short to explore everything I wanted to. Since I had traveled to Portland for the weekend, I didn’t have the option to book another appointment, which added to the pressure. The shop was also very busy and chaotic, which made the whole experience feel rushed.

When I found the dress, I was debating putting it on hold to think about it, but I felt pressured to make a quick decision. While I’m happy with my purchase, after I left I found out via social media that there was a sale the next day that could have saved me even more money. I wish the staff had mentioned this when I was debating my decision.

Overall, I would recommend Brides for a Cause to brides looking for affordable yet beautiful options. However, I suggest booking multiple appointments if possible to avoid feeling rushed. If you’re looking for a more relaxed, laid-back shopping experience, you may want to explore other options. But if you’re ready to dive into a whirlwind of gorgeous gowns, this is the place to go!

I booked an appointment for an hour this last Saturday and found my wedding dress! I couldn’t say more positive things about my experience in this bridal shop. I felt supported and hyped up by all the staff and the price was right! I even got an additional 50% off the marked price. I’m in love with my dress and cannot wait to walk down the aisle in it. Thanks again to the amazing staff. To be clear the photos of me in dresses aren’t one one I chose to purchase. The one with me holding the pink dress bag has my wedding dress in it.

Cute intimate shop where you can try on dresses without any pressure! They have dresses in all sizes! I saw sizes 00 - 28. I bought a beautiful plus size sample dress for a third of the price. I could not be happier! I felt like a queen on my wedding day!
I also went back and bought a veil for $10, the most expensive veils were cathedral length for $100.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a low key vibe. Bring your bestie! (Or fiancé 😉 )

I can't say enough how much I love and appreciate everything that Brides for a Cause does! As an advocate for giving clothing second-life, I love that Brides for a Cause gives second-life to wedding dresses, at prices that give more brides access, they have a fairly constant rotation of dresses in ALL the sizes, and all of the causes that their proceeds go to: it's a win-win-WIN!

Yesterday, I had a 60-minute appointment to try on dresses. My sister came with me, and we had a great time shopping and trying on dresses. The attendees were super nice, very helpful, and never pushy. The lighting is nice, and the dressing rooms have plenty of space to walk around in your dress, plus seating for guests (and, from a recommendation I got before my appt, for me to sit in the dress).

Today, because I didn't buy a dress yesterday, I went to the Dress Dash event (got my ticket when they came available on Monday morning!), and even though it was just me and I only had 30-minutes, the attendees were super helpful with getting dresses to and from my room, as well as helping me get zipped up. And... I said yes to the dress!!

For all brides alike, I can't recommend Brides for a Cause enough! And be sure to follow them on Instagram, they do a great job keeping followers updated on upcoming events as well as beautiful dresses that come in!

I called ahead to see if my flower girl (age 8) could attend and the staff was SO nice about it. The dresses were great quality and even though I didn’t find “the one” I had an excellent experience! If I lived locally I would have visited again because inventory is always changing. Plus you can feel great that you’re supporting great causes!

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff and a large selection of dresses, especially between sizes 6-12. Prices between $150-$800 generally with a few beautiful and more intricate dresses $1000 or more, but still 65% or more off retail price.
