Whole-heartedly, I recommend Dubuque Physical Therapy in Peosta and in Dubuque, IA, for treatment of acute and chronic conditions, to improve the quality of your life.
I am extremely grateful for having been successfully treated by highly-qualified therapists at both locations. Years ago, under the guidance of Jason Meyer, I was successfully treated for a severe shoulder injury. Most recently, I've had the opportunity to work with Laura Timmerman, one of the expert therapists at Dubuque Physical Therapy in Peosta, to address problems related to degenerative disc disease and pain management. Laura's empathetic yet realistic approach results in a plan that really works for me. I can incorporate exercises into daily life, as much as possible, and feel motivated to work toward my goals. Laura applies a wealth of knowledge and insight as she carefully listens, observes, and clearly communicates or demonstrates what is needed for strengthening, healing, or prevention of further problems. Her patient and cheerful demeanor contribute to the positive results I've experienced. Laura and the staff at the Peosta office are amazing! After my surgery, Laura explained the road to recovery and what to expect. I saw progress every week of my physical therapy. Laura gave simple but highly effective exercises for me to complete at home which, combined with the office visits, expedited my recovery. The staff worked with my schedule in making appointments. I am stronger after the surgery and have confidence again in the affected limb. Do yourself a favor and go see Laura.

My experience up there was wonderful I wish I was still doing physical therapy with Jeff. I also want to let Jeff know that the spot on my leg was skin cancer and thanks to him I went to a dermatologist and was just recently in Iowa City and had it removed I want to thank Jeff and his wife. I was referred to DBQ PT for pelvic floor therapy and the whole experience there was so educational for my own body and needs. I was having issues with leaking and urgency to go to the bathroom. Anne was amazing to work with! She explained the causes of so many things I was experiencing related to my pelvic floor and gave me tools to use to strengthen and stretch my body. Our time together went too fast! I appreciated her attentiveness to my needs and her ability to listen to what I was experiencing. I can not recommend this work enough for any woman!

Amanda at Dubuque Physical Therapy is amazing. I was in constant pain 24/7. I did not expect physical therapy to ease my pain, but after just a couple visits, Amanda had me comfortable enough to get a good night's sleep. I finished therapy today, completely pain free.

After dealing with knee/hip/back pain for years, I was recommended to physical therapy by my GP. I decided to try Dubuque Physical Therapy because it was close to home in Peosta. There are several reasons why I recommend DPT in Peosta. First, scheduling was a breeze. From the very first contact, Holly was great. When I needed to reschedule an appointment or cancel, she worked to find a comparable appointment time and she was so welcoming every day I walked through the door.
Second and most importantly, Dr. Laura Timmerman, PT, DPT, OCS is the most thorough physical therapist I have ever had the pleasure (and pain 🥴) of working with, and at 50, I’ve had my share of PT! She used various techniques to help alleviate my pain and strengthen my legs/back including muscle strengthening, stretching, cupping, dry needling with/without electric stimulation and deep tissue massage. Not only does she work hard to help fix the issue, but she educates you about your body/muscles along the way. She helped me find muscles that have been buried for a long time. I’m not totally pain free, but she definitely got me headed in the right direction. Now it’s up to me to build on what she taught me. One day…I may be able to run 6 miles 🤷🏻‍♀️ who knows? I highly recommend DPT in Peosta for all of your physical therapy needs.
