I never leave a poor review for any establishment unless I’ve had an extremely poor experience. In this case, this shop is deserving of that poor review. Initially, I was greeted nicely by the front desk attendant and she provided me with a nice explanation of the tints and pricing, as well as the warranty that comes with the tints. The tints were immediately finished within one hour; however, I noticed something was wrong with the front and rear windshields. Both front and rear windshields look like they weren’t even cleaned before & after installation, and it looked like a smudged mess. I kid you not, I couldn’t see from either the front or back. With most tints I’ve gotten done on my previous cars, I’ve never had such an issue. What’s worse is that the tint was already peeling from the top of the front windshield. I completely understand that with some work there will be messes, but whoever was responsible for installing the tint didn’t even bother to clean up after themselves. I wish I was lying when I said there was residue all over the car—the infotainment screen, dashboard, steering wheel, wireless charger, cup holders, side- and rear-view mirrors, and the air conditioning. It ruined the leather on my brand new, fresh-off-the-lot car.
Later that same day, I contacted the shop to inquire about the windshield issue. Initially, the representative responded defensively, but he became more accommodating when I refrained from becoming aggressive. He offered to clean the windows the following day, but I decided against it and opted for a different service provider.
Having read other reviews regarding their reinstallation services, I was hesitant to risk another poor experience. Therefore, I have given this establishment one star.
To those considering this establishment, I strongly recommend conducting thorough research on previous work before making a decision. This experience has demonstrated that the quality of work falls short of expectations, and the service is overpriced for the subpar results.

Located on the corner. Love how the receptionist clearly informed me of all my options. I purchased a groupon and had more options then what was listed and saved money by updating at the desk. Took 4 mins to read and sign paperwork and they started right away even though I was a hour early for my appointment.

I found this company on Groupon, made my appointment for today and I’m very impressed with the results. The groupon was for basic tint, so I fully expected to upgrade. The differences in the tint were carefully explained and there was a great demonstration of how the top end tint repels heat so the decision was easy, go with the top end tint. As I stated before the results were very impressive. Thanks to everyone at Hot Tint Wraps, I highly recommend this company if you want tint.

I had a frustrating experience at Tints and Sounds in Gaithersburg. During my visit for some work on my vehicle, I encountered an aggressive staff member who confronted me in the waiting room, raising his voice about the location of the wheel locks. It turned out they were simply in my trunk, but his rudeness was entirely uncalled for.
After some brake work at a dealership, I returned to have them check on an installation issue. While the technician was understanding and helpful, the rude behavior of the service staff member led me to leave without resolving my concerns.
Overall, while the shop may provide decent services, I would not recommend it if you have to deal with that level of poor customer service.
