I was recommended this shop from SoundWaves audio shop for upholstery work and I got a leather kit installed in my Silverado by them, I could not be anymore pleased with it. It looks incredible! Andrea was of great help with communicating on pricing, time availability, and making sure it was done right. I highly recommend them for upholstery work if you need some done.

I am utterly disappointed and disheartened by the appalling service and lack of care I received at Ideal Automotive and Truck Accessories. I came in to have a hitch installed on my 2019 Volvo XC90 after carefully detailing my requirements to Joe, their "experienced" representative. I even went as far as showing him a YouTube video that demonstrated the exact process I wanted—no removal or lowering of the exhaust pipe or pan, just the fascia and bumper. My instructions could not have been clearer.

When I picked up my car, I was absolutely flabbergasted. Joe installed the exact opposite of what I explicitly requested. Instead of a clean, behind-the-fascia hitch installation, I now have an exposed, unsightly hitch with visible hardware beneath the fascia. This is not only a violation of my request but also an aesthetic eyesore that has devalued my luxury vehicle.

What’s worse, the installation process was careless and destructive. My car’s bumper fascia was damaged with scraped paint in multiple areas, and they didn’t even have the decency to inform me about it. My dashcam recorded the entire installation, and what I saw was shocking—excessive banging on my car for no apparent reason, indicating a rushed and negligent job. Joe was even overheard on the recording telling a front desk associate at 3:00 PM that Chris knew this was a custom install and it could be ready by 5 PM if they could put all the parts back together by then. Clearly this was a rushed-job having no regard for delivering quality service. This blatant disregard for quality control and respect for my property is infuriating.

Now, my car rattles incessantly, the exhaust sounds off, and it’s clear that parts weren’t secured properly during the installation. What should have been a straightforward, professional job has turned into a nightmare. Joe’s decision to ignore my explicit instructions not only caused damage to my vehicle but also cost the shop potential revenue since the service I originally requested was twice the price, according to Chris.

To add insult to injury, Joe offered to have me bring the car back in. Why would I trust them with my vehicle again after they failed to respect it the first time? Their careless actions have left me stressed, frustrated, and soon to be out-of-pocket costs to repair the damages they caused.

I demand that Ideal Automotive and Truck Accessories reimburse me for any and all costs associated with restoring my vehicle to its original condition, including correcting the botched installation, repairing the fascia, and addressing the rattling and exhaust issues. This experience has completely soured what should have been a simple and enjoyable upgrade to my car.

To anyone considering this shop for any service, think twice. Their lack of professionalism, disregard for customer instructions, and shoddy workmanship are simply unacceptable.

P.S. 2024.12.31 - I spent hours at the Volvo dealership today discovering that Ideal Automotive damaged my wiring while attempting to power the hitch. This follows a series of mishaps:

- Installed the wrong hitch.
- Scratched my brand-new rear bumper fascia in several places.
- Reinstalled my exhaust incorrectly, causing sputtering and clanking.
- Damaged my electrical system, leading to false system alerts because of wires shorting out and making holiday travel unsafe.
- The lack of skill, professionalism, and quality control at Ideal Automotive is appalling. From my dashcam, it’s clear they rushed the job with no care or integrity. Clearly there was NO quality controls. This is the worst automotive experience in my 55 years. I wouldn’t trust them with even basic tasks like filling tires with air—they truly should be renamed "Faultiest Automotive Installations - EVER!!"

Amazing customer service, technicians are the best and overall, the best shop to get your vehicle customized.

I have a 2022 Jeep Gladiator and was looking to replace the OEM exhaust.

I contacted Chris and he was extremely knowledgeable in the various manufactures, that would work well with the gladiator.

I selected the Flowmaster FX cat back install.

From the initial order over the phone, to scheduling the install, to getting the exhaust installed….it was flawless and perfect.

I highly recommend Ideal Automotive!! I will be scheduling my power running boards install soon with them.

Bad business with no Integrity.
Dropped my jet ski seat off to be reupholstered, when I dropped it off me and Andrea discussed whether the entire seat needs to be recovered or just a partial, the seat is yellow in the front and black in the back the black was not torn or damaged. She told me they could just replace the yellow, the black did not need to be replaced. The next day she called and said the black was rotten and the entire seat needed to be done. I told her OK and if she could give me a ballpark price, she said she had to call me back on Monday after she looked at the material cost and talked to her employee who would be doing the work. She did not call me on Monday, so I called her on Thursday, and she stated the seat would be done the next week and her ballpark price was $300 to do the entire seat. Went the following week to pick the seat up and my cost was $350. I paid my invoice, and she went back to get the seat came out, handed me my seat and said here is your BRAND-NEW SEAT? It looked good until I got outside in the sun where I noticed only the yellow had been replaced. Went back in and got Andrea, we went out to look at it and she was puzzled about me telling her the whole seat was not done because that is what we talked about. She took the seat back into the shop to talk to her installer. She returned about 25 minutes later; handed me my seat and said I cleaned it up for you. Now I’m puzzled and didn’t really know what to say. I told her I wanted to pay for the work that was completed and that it should not be $350, $350 was for the whole seat being completed. She said the quote was just for the yellow if it was for the whole seat, it would have been $500+ and they were going to do the rest of the seat as a courtesy (lol) right after she explained to me how much the marine vinyl costs. We went back and forth for a couple of minutes; a price adjustment was NEVER offered. Andrea did say give her the seat back and they would complete the work, they already had it for three weeks and my family has plans this weekend with the SKI so I said no. Lesson learned, always get the quote in writing with the scope of work to be completed and never use IDEAL again. If she did quote it wrong do the right thing and stand by the work that was completed, don’t try and explain it and change your story several times. The quality of work was good seat looks great the integrity of this transaction was ridiculous. Do what you say and stand behind it!

We unexpectedly purchased a vehicle that was kind of difficult to get in and out of. And the folks that I ideal mainly Joe and his staff are so Kind and we’re so pleasant to my wife that she said I must run down there and take a look at their product. Well, I already knew they sold high-quality products. I couldn’t believe my wife stopped in there for some runningboards for brand new pick up truck. We just purchased.. To have quality and clearly well-versed in the business of installation, Repair Service maintenance and they been there forever. To use talking about electronic step boards being added to a brand new truck real shocking thing it should I should’ve had to wait about two weeks Joe, the manager has somehow worked it into their schedule, knowing that virtually impossible for anybody to use my truck right now, other than me climbing in and out. All joking, aside all seriousness I’ve been purchasing products from them for years. I love going to looking at new things don’t hesitate to give them a try. Their prices have always been better than competitors. You can put your hands on the products and these people know the products you want to buy and put on your vehicle stop in and see him. You can’t miss the big yellow building. . Stay Blessed
