I purchased a Luminox watch from Dave and it’s absolutely perfect! It’s exactly what I was looking for, and Dave gave me a great price on it. I’m very pleased with the watch. Dave is an absolute gentleman to deal with, and his staff are equally wonderful. I had occasion to call the shop and the young lady with whom I spoke was cheerful, friendly, courteous, and professional. She was so pleasant it sounded like she was smiling throughout our conversation. What an excellent experience it was dealing with Dave and Mimi’s. I have worked with other custom jewlers in the past, and have had pretty okay experiences, but I decided to try David Truong after reading so many good reviews. I brought him a collection of loose stones and a very specific idea to create a custom signet ring based on my beloved uncle’s ring. He sat patiently with me through the design process, paid close attention to the things that were important to me, and gave me an estimate of the completed work. He drew up a CAD design, which we tweaked slightly, and here’s where the real artistry comes in: because I only wanted a certain number of stones, he added these tiny dots of gold between the bead-set sapphires. Just those tiny little details elevated what was a simple ring to a sparkly, personalized work of art. When I went to pick up the final ring I burst into tears. It was perfect. AND he gave me top price for trade-in gold which I applied to the cost of the final project. The whole staff at Mimi’s is lovely, and David is a Gem. (See what I did there. 😉 )

Through the generations in my family, a beautiful black onyx and diamond ring has been handed down and I was not on the receiving end of this spectacular piece of jewelry. I took the design of the ring and reached out to David at Mimi's and asked him to create the same piece of jewelry but in the form of a necklace/pendant. I am grateful to David and his team, through their impeccable attention to detail, they delivered a breathtaking piece of jewelry that exceeded my expectations. This is not the first time that I've approached Mimi's to design a piece of jewelry for me and I am always impressed by their professionalism, guidance, and of course the final product/masterpiece; the entire process is flawless from start to finish.
