Good luck if you ever need service from Pella! My local office in Kingston, NY charged me over $300 for a broken shade inside a window that no longer would move up or down, and then took five months to get here after several cancelations on the morning they were supposed to show up. Then when the serviceman gets here and installs the part, he tells me it wasn't the actual part that was needed and we still had the issue when he left. I immediately emailed them under my old ticket and email thread and nobody responded. So I called and Karen said "oh, the old ticket was closed, let me open a new ticket" and she said she would get an answer from Adam on what part was needed and told me I would need to pay again. They never called me back. Now I just tried to call the local office again and their automated message says they are updating their systems and the wait time is long with 45 people ahead of me in the queue! I am sick over this. My advice: stay far away from these people, unless you like nothing but frustration. I am warning everyone I know about my experience with Pella. Meanwhile, I have had a main window in my living room with its shade stuck closed for 8 months now and counting.

I just got off the phone with a Pella "customer experience" person who was extraordinarily rude! A very simple question - "can I paint my fiberglass Pella front doors?" Representative kept interrupting and adding non pertinent information and questions. She may have had a checklist she felt she had to get through but was very, very rude to me. I'm doing a remodel and deciding on windows etc and I will go way out of my way NOT to use Pella! Bizarre experience.

We selected Pella windows 25 years ago for our new home. The windows themselves have been largely good. BUT BE WARNED!! If you ever need to replace a window or need parts, you will live to regret having Pella products. Reaching out by phone for parts service is like poking sharp pins in your eye - you will be on hold forever and have to continually push 3 to stay in the queue. They don't respond to emails and their online Chat doesn't respond. I'm a determined person but this has been an exceptionally terrible experience in terms in bad customer service. We have needed to replace two windows since January...I'm still on hold. Think carefully before choosing Pella....

Purchase replacement vinyl windows for our home. Wish we had kept the 20 year old builder grade ones. The Pella windows are loose and now that it is winter every single one has condensation on them. This was a concern from day one. When I questioned how loose they were when they were installed I had to make a warranty claim to have them replace some sashes. What ? Crazy right? So they replaced three sashes and I still thought they were loose. The installer told me when winter comes if they leak to file another claim. So this is where we are. They said they are sending someone out with weather stripping to see if this fixes the problem. The problem is the windows are not quality and they do not fit. Beware ~ do not waste your money on Pella windows like we did.

The 250 series are garbage along with the warranties. What a waste of money. I should have gone with Anderson .

If I could make this zero stars, I would. Zero stars for zero effort or communication from Pella. We have been fighting for warranty work on our sliding glass door for over 6 months now and we are continually ghosted by our Pella location. I've opened a case with the BBB and they don't bother to respond to the BBB either. Absolutely atrocious customer service and zero follow up/through. I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone. And my door still isn't fixed.

We purchased a new home with all Pella windows and doors. Not surprisingly, a few windows needed adjustments and after a month wait for service, most of them are now working correctly. We have a sliding door that is not operating correctly and the Pella repair person really had no answers and said someone else would need to take a look at it. Given the extent of the problem and time we had already waited, very disappointing to not get it solved. The cost of Pella products really does make a person expect better service and quality.

Completely disappointed in there performance in cold weather below 28 degrees all they do is sweat at the bottom of both upper and lower windows having to wipe down constantly in the winter months service department is of no help to me with this situation told me that I need to have a dehumidifier running constantly to get humidity to 31 to 35 percent which I did and still sweat on them I started with a vinyl replacement which were loose fitting side to side tech told me get the lifestyle wood and aluminum which I did and they are worse they sent the same technician 3 times and still no help to me even show him 32 percent humidity in front of the window more excuses and no fix still to the problem I’m contacting bbb and a lawyer next I changed them 2 times already and no help from the engineer department or any one else at the corporate office again I should have gotten Anderson or a cheaper no name brand which I have used in the past and no problems with them either again completely disappointed with this company
