So I was just recently in the store and mind you this wasn't the first time I've been there but I was pleasantly surprised at how fast everything moved firing this Christmas rush. The people who work there are insanely awesome and so welcoming. I would suggest that if you're purchasing something for a loved one as a gift or even for yourself I would look here first. They have the best prices and they only put the best of merchandise on their shelves. You're not going to walk out with a faulty computer or television. I love that they're always willing to work with you on pricing and you don't have to feel like you're being taken advantage of. The one last thing I want to add is that this is the only place in Portland I feel comfortable pawning/loaning my stuff at. I know that if I decide to come back it's going to be just as I left it.

Great service wonderful staff and selection of products cannot go wrong. To place to go If you need some quick cash silver lining is the place to go! The customer service is excellent matching the selection of merchandise- from musical equipment to home electronics and tools the prices can't be beat. Local business that's been in the area for generations, it's one of my favorite places to go for music equipment, school supplies and computers! They really have such a fine selection of interesting objects you have to go check it out yourself. You never know what treasure you might find at Silver Lining pawn shop and an excellent assortment of fine jewelry as well.

The Silver Lining has been my store of choice for 35 years now. When I was much younger, I availed myself of their pawn shop/loan services, and always received a loan offer a full step higher than any of the other shops were willing to offer, and they were always willing to work with me provided my own efforts were sincere.
Older and better established in my own life now, I won't buy my gold and jewelry anywhere else. Always gorgeous and priced most competitively, it is refreshing to work with a company that approaches every deal as a shiny new chapter in the long-running story that is our capital-driven relationship, rather than squeezing every possible dime out of every transaction.
I believe they work from a perspective of plenty, rather than scarcity, and it makes all the difference in the world, truly. Stop in, and see for yourself... You'll probably be very glad you did!
