I've been a loyal customer of STUDS for a long time and have always had positive experiences at their stores, both online and in person. The staff is usually friendly and helpful, even when I need adjustments for items purchased online. However, my recent visit to this location was disappointing.

I came in with a pair of new butterfly back studs that felt too tight on my helix and just wanted to ask if there was a way to make them fit better. While I was gently tugging on the piercing to show the clerk the issue, the girl at the front abruptly scolded me, telling me to stop and accusing me of trying to remove it—something I never intended to do. I’m fully aware of the store’s policies, having visited many times. Despite explaining this, she continued to speak to me in a condescending and rude tone, offering no assistance. She didn’t even bother to check my piercings or offer any solutions, simply stating, “There’s nothing we can do for you.”

Frustrated by her attitude, I left and later went to a different location where the staff kindly checked my piercing. They found that I had pushed the butterfly back too far and showed me how it could be adjusted to fit better. Problem solved in minutes, with none of the hassle or rudeness I experienced at the first store.

Overall, this was an unpleasant and unprofessional interaction. It was clear the staff member was more interested in getting through her shift than actually helping customers. I won’t be returning to this location—there are plenty of other STUDS stores in Manhattan with much friendlier and more professional staff.

I walked in and was assisted by Kaila. She was so patient and helpful with my questions about flatback earrings. I am really appreciative of the time she took to demonstrate pushing the pin into the flatback and taking them apart. She made it easy to understand and I was able to put my 2 new pairs of flatbacks in myself at home. Thank you so much!

Went in on 10/17 with the intention of getting a piercing, got there 20 minutes before my appointment so I can take time to browse the jewelry but I was bombarded by a lady at the front desk with the pixie haircut rushing me to complete my waiver and pick out my jewelry. She did not like the fact that I was browsing and taking my time although it wasn’t my appointment time yet. As soon as my appointment time approached on the dot, she was very adamant about me making my decision. I felt pressured by her unwelcoming and rude attitude. Don’t recommend this location if you’re looking for a good experience and friendliness. I ended up leaving and taking my business elsewhere.

I love this place! The piercer was really nice and knowledgeable, she made me feel comfortable because I was a little nervous. They also have a great variety of earrings, and the prices are affordable. I like that they have really cute and fun designs. I will definitely come back for more piercings ?

I was very impressed by this location, especially the woman who did my ear piercings (whose name i unfortunately can’t recall). Very professional, store was clean and wait time was short. Great selection of earrings too. Would highly recommend!!!

Walked in and was able to get an appointment right away. I’d already decided what I wanted a day before so it was fast. The piercing specialist was nice and worked quickly. I was very pleased. I just wish they would’ve told me how to take the earrings out.

The perfect ending to our girls trip to New York! Elio pierced us! He was so welcoming and made our experience fun and he was so gentle with the needle. Studs has a great jewelry options and the branding is so cute!
